Neurodivergence is a culture.

A newsletter about integrating neurodivergence as a culture, & reimagining neurodivergent communication as intercultural communication

Hi, I'm Ana María! I'm a 2E (gifted + autistic) linguist with a background in intercultural communication studies and civil rights work related to language access.

I’m applying my expertise to a deeply personal special interest of mine- neurodivergent culture and communication.

Neurocultural is where I share my observations, theories, questions, and frameworks as I explore neurodivergence as a culture, and where I redefine neurodivergent communication as intercultural communication.

"We cannot live securely in a world which is not our own, in a world which is interpreted for us by others. An interpreted world is not a home. Part of the terror is to take back our own listening, to put our ears to our own inner voices, to see our own light, which is our birthright, and comes to us in silence." - Elaine Bellezza
